Has anyone used car wax on a stainless steel refrigerator?

I was told this would make cleaning the refrigerator easier (on the outside) much easier. My husband bought it though and didn't get all the instructions. I know that I should clean the refrigerator with a good cleaner like 409 and such and then wax it.
My questions are now...
1. What do I clean the outside of the refrigerator with now to keep it shiny and clean but not take too much of the wax off so I am not doing it so much.
2. How often do I wax the refrigerator? (Note I have 4 kids from 8-newborn. It will get very dirty often.)
3. When I wax it again do I need to take a strong cleaner to get the rest of the wax off or do I just 409/(good cleaner) and clean it first and then wax over it.

Easiest way to clean stainless steel is with WD-40 it removes all finger prints and is easy to maintain. Not only that but it helps prevent new smudges. Think about how hard you would have to buff it with wax. Just spray some WD-40 on a soft clean rag and wipe.
