Why does my watch battery die after only a couple months?

I have a watch, its only a few years old and when you put a new battery into it, it works perfectly. But it quickly falls dead after only a couple of months. Its a Point Zero, quartz Japan Movement analog watch. Does anyone know something about this? Thanks.

Although it's possible for SOME peculiar reason that the watch is hard on the batteries, I seriously doubt it. I have to suspect the batteries. Either you're using some really cheap ones that dont hold up, or really old ones that have been on the shelf for a long time, or you're using the same TYPE of battery that uses a different chemical composition. There are several battery designations that are identical size and voltage, but don't last as long under duress. So they're listed as a cross-reference because they CAN be used, but for not as long. Zinc-Air button cells, for example, are used in hearing aids, but wear out quickly in applications that a silver-oxide button cell should be used.

Moving parts always require more power.
