What would a stopwatch that counts in tenths of a minute count?
I have a stopwatch that counts in tenths of a minute. I'm not sure what sport it would be for.
Mainly what im asking is why would it count in a tenth of a minute or what sport could it be for?
I'm guessing you already know that a tenth of a minute is 6 seconds.
Only sport I can think of that would do this would be soccer. Since they don't stop the clock during stoppage of play, the refs add minutes at the end of each half, based on their estimate of how much the clock was stopped. Since the additional time is always in minutes, I guess it'd be easier to keep the count in minutes and fractions of minutes.
