How do you cook a dual layer cake at one time in one pan?

I would like to make a cake with two different cake mixes with the layers being on top of them but only using one pan-- anybody every try this and have tips? I don't want to cook it in 2 pans and put them together-- I would like them to spend a majority of the time cooking together.

make sure both cakes will fit in the pan. then, spoon the second cake on top so that it will be as even as possible. kind of like making a marble cake without the swirl.

or you could try a thin layer of flour over the first and then spoon the second.

Can I have a display connected to my PC by VGA and another connected by DVI-I and have Dual monitors?

I have a graphics card that has both a DVI-I input and a VGA input. Can I connect one display to the DVI-I and another display to the VGA to have dual monitors? But not with the same image produced.

There is no code for this. what you will need to do is to get a 2-way toggle switch and wire it in line with the brake wire and wire that to ground. the toggle switch is needed because the screen will require more that one pulse from the brake wire to activate the video on the screen

If you're installing Windows 7 on a Mac, you can burn the image to a DVD with Disk Utility.

Or, you can do what I'm doing since I'm out of blank DVDs at the moment, and put it on a flash drive for installation. This is also how you'll get it on a net book or Mac Book Air. You'll need a 4GB USB 2.0 flash drive and a mounting program like Daemon Tools on Windows or Mount Me on Mac. Format the flash drive in FAT32, mount the Windows 7 image, then copy everything over to the flash drive.

Now it's the time to get Windows7 installed. Boot from CD, and follow the wizard, installing Windows 7 on your clean partition (under Custom installation type). On a Mac, Boot Camp Assistant will take you through the process after you slide in the Windows disc. Make sure it's the right partition or you will hose your actual current Windows install. Then go watch some TV or take a poop while it does its thing. Come back, and you'll have a few more setup screens and enter the license key with great care and accept the agreement.

Dual Time Digits

Could really use some computer buying advice. Dual core processor and etc.?

Ok the last computer I bought was 5 years ago. Wow things have changed. There is so much stuff I need to knw?? What kind of proccesor do I need. Is single core or dual? Do these 4 digit numbers after the processor mean anything????

Avoid emachine/gateway but most major mfgrs Dell, toshiba, sony, hp and compaq are going to be very reliable. The other person is INCORRECT. All PC brands are NOT directly comparable. But major brands are compteting in a cut throat market, and those brands will be reliable. There is MUCH more to a PC than just the quantity of ramm, the processor and hd size. Unfortunately that is how inexpreienced people shop.

ALL new full sized computers are going to come with Vista. XP is only availible on those little netbooks. Windows 7 is coming out soonand a few mfgrs are starting to offer win& upgrades already (microsoft will start offering free "technology guarantee" upgrades later). You can PURCHACE at extra cost a "XP downgrade license". Vista was a little rocky when it was first released, but that is because of software and periphial makers NOT because of ms. The third party makers have caught up and the first service pack (free upgrade) was released (SP2 is in beta right now). Vista is now considred VERY good for most users.

The 4 digits refer to the model of the proc. In general the higher the better. (The first digit is a series number, the second three digits refer to the model). But you do NOT need to buy the "highest number" RAW speed is NOT that important. In general, it takes a DOUBLING of proc speed to even be noticable. IF you choose Intel procs, YES I DO recommend core2 or core2duo so that your investment will lst a long time. Don't get too caught up in the number of cores. Intel will be relasing 8 cores later this year). AMD processors are VERY good values for the dollar.

I need some help picking out a dual sport bike?

i havent ever owned a dirt bike or anything before and id like to get a dual sport bike....something that is good for a beginner but is also powerful enough to take on the freeway and something that is very reliable...dual sport bikes dont cost all that much money so id like to find something that would give me the most bang for my buck but not so much power that i cant handle it...im 5'6 and 130 lbs if that matters

Will has some good suggestions, but if you want to do freeway, you need a bit more power. I'd suggest a 650, but you may be a bit light to start on one. I think a DR350 SE would be just right. They are only available used, but you ought to be able to find a nice one for $1300-2000.

Mechanical Dual Time

How often do I need to change the filter media in my aquarium?

I have a 30 gal. tank with a TopFin 60 runnning dual mechanical/carbon filter cartridges as well as dual biological sponges. How often do these need to be replaced. I understand that the carbon actually wears out pretty quickly. Do I simply replace the carbon in the mechanical filter cartridge? Or do I put together a new mech. filter cartridge with new carbon? And how often? Also I'm nervous about changing out the biological filters because I'm worried about causing a mini cycle. Please advise. Thanks.

You don't actually need carbon in your filter unless you have medicated your tank and want to filter out the medication from the water. So I wouldn't panic about replacing the carbon. Although if you want carbon in your filter, you can just replace it and not the whole cartridge (as long as the cartridge comes apart). You should do that every 3 months or so.

The sponges should last a very long time. If you have dual sponges, then you you should have no worries about causing a mini cycle by killing off too much beneficial bacteria. You just squeeze out the sponges in conditioned water once a month. That way none of the bacteria is killed off. If you ever need to replace your sponges, replace one and then wait a month before replacing the other one. That way you'll always have one sponge full of bacteria up and running. That's the beauty of dual sponges.

I use DIY sponge filters and I have sponges that have been in use for years and show no signs of deterioration.

Tera Angstrom is a special innovative technology which has been designed and developed by Imation. The process of tape tracking in LTO-3 has been improved by the incorporation of superior servo writing system that ensures efficient read/write operations. Dual layer media formulation of Imation has helped to heighten the scalability and output frequency of the high capacity LTO-3 data tape. Media formulation used by Imation in the development of LTO-3 ultrium is the MP3 metal particulate. The off-track errors in Imation ultrium-3 media format have been significantly reduced because of the PES (Position Error Signal). Therefore this feature enhances the overall transfer rates and output characteristics. Imation LTO-3 data cartridges provide excellent performance under heavy work loads. The robust tape media of Imation ultrium-3 secures the recorded data for longer time span and occupies lesser shelf space. WORM capability is a powerful mechanism offered by Imation LTO-3, which does not allow modifications to the written information through out its retention time period.
